TL;DR
Midjourney → Runway → Eleven Labs → 2 videos shipped, interest lost
What I Built
American Sumo — 80s-style comedy trailer about a failed sumo wrestler who becomes an NFL lineman. 10+ shots in Midjourney, animated with Runway, voiceover from Eleven Labs.
Wizard Job Interview — Quick POC of a wizard bombing a corporate interview. Learned the pipeline but the joke didn't quite land.
What Didn't Ship
Doppelganger Kid — Horror short based on the r/TwoSentenceHorror classic. Got 40% done before abandoning.
Dino Evolution — TikTok-style "walk through the years" from T-Rex to chicken. Blocked on Veo not respecting first/last frame constraints.
Why I Stopped
Consistency was brutal. Maintaining character/scene consistency between frames required endless --cref tweaking. Every new shot felt like starting over.
Expensive hobby. Midjourney + Runway + Eleven Labs + Veo = ~$195/mo for tools I wasn't using regularly.
Shipped 2 videos, learned the pipeline, moved on.
